Mrs. Barbara “Barb” Lucille Rauhala of Rimbey, Alberta passed away peacefully at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre, Red Deer on Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at the age of 68 years. “Barb will be dearly remembered by everyone she knew and loved. She always put her family and friends ahead of herself. Now Barb rests with those she’s loved and known. Goodbye, for now …until we see you again.” Barb will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her son, Darryl Rauhala (Angie Everitt) of Rimbey; her daughter, Wendy Guldbrandsen (Stephen Smith), also of Rimbey; as well as seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She will also be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by two brothers, Randy (Theresa) Hebert of Malakwa, B.C.; and John (Michelle) Hebert of Westbank, B.C.; and five sisters, Ruth (Bill) Jones of Bowden; Gloria Hebert of Salmon Arm, B.C.; Mel (Chris) Mitchell of Phoenix, Arizona; Pam Rabbitt of Malakwa, B.C.; and Lynnette (Grant) Imlah of Sedgewick, Alberta; in addition to many nieces and nephews. Barb was predeceased by her parents, Ada and Wilfred Hebert; and her beloved husband, Hank in 2005. A Public Memorial Service in Celebration of Barb’s Life will be held at the Zion Lutheran Church, Rimbey on Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with the Reverend Allen Lewis officiating. Interment will follow in the Twin Creek Cemetery, Usona District at 2:00 p.m. Cremation took place at the Central Alberta Crematorium, Red Deer. If friends desire, memorial tributes in Barb’s Memory may be made directly to the Canadian Cancer Society, 4730A Ross Street, Red Deer, Alberta T4N 1X2.
