In loving memory ~
Bernard "Barney" E. Oldfield of Rimbey, Alberta passed away peacefully, with family by his side, at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre on Friday, December 30, 2022 at the age of 93 years.
Barney will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his wife of 61 years, Vi; his son Calvin (Tara Lynn) of Swan Hills; and two daughters Cindy Oldfield of Leduc,
and Wendy (Howard) Whattam of Eastern Passage, Nova Scotia. He will also be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, other family members, and many friends. Barney was predeceased by his parents Manton and Evelyn; and two sisters Helen Huculak and Jean Oldfield.
An Informal Gathering in Remembrance of Barney's Life will be held in the Fellowship Hall of the Zion Lutheran Church, Rimbey on Saturday, January 14, 2023 from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. He will be laid to rest in the Iola Fairview Cemetery, Bluffton at a later date.
