BERTHA ELLEN KERN
December 4, 1921 to September 10, 2012
It is with great sadness we announce the passing on Monday September 10, 2012,of Bertha Ellen Kern (nee Myers) beloved wife of Herold of 41 years, in Salmon Arm, British Columbia.
Bertha will be deeply missed by her husband and her daughter Elaine and sons Dwight and George (Linda) grandchildren; Stewart, Garth (Rosanne), Susie (Ryan) and Gavin and great-grandchildren Kylie and Josie. She was pre-deceased by her first husband, John Fraser and grandson Kevin.
Bertha was born in Frontier, Saskatchewan and as a young girl moved with her family to the rural area around Rimbey, Alberta. In 1939 she married John Fraser and they took up residence on the Fraser family farm where they raised their three children Elaine, Dwight and George. Sadly, John died in 1967 and Bertha subsequently moved for a brief time to Southern Alberta before she met and married Herold Kern. Bertha and Herold lived in several lower mainland B.C. communities before settling in Salmon Arm in 1990.
A private inurnment will be held in Bentley Alberta. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate a donation to the charity of your choice.
