DICKAU

Brett David 1980-2011

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Brett David Dickau announces his passing on August 26, 2011. Brett and his twin brother came into the world on January 18, 1980.

Hockey was one of Brett's passions. He played for the Bentley Canucks, Sylvan Lake Mustangs, Lacombe Wranglers, and a Rimbey/Bentley combination team. He loved his trucks, quads and motorcycle, but they didn't necessarily love him. He worked in the oil and gas industry as a pipeliner. No matter where he worked, he always came home to Bentley.

From a very young age, Brett became someone you wanted to have as a friend. He was a very loyal and caring person and had a hard time saying no to anyone. He gave everything and asked nothing in return.

Brett leaves to mourn his parents, Derek and Joan; sisters; Judy (Wes) Neumeier, and Nicole Doll; brother, Brian (Karen) and grandmother, Norma Dickau; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. He proudly fulfilled his role as an uncle to Parker, Mason, Julia, Chloe, Keira, Brandon and Janelle. He was predeceased by grandparents, Roy Dickau, and Thomas and Kathryn Albers.

Brett will be lovingly remembered by many friends and relatives. He had a special place in his heart for his "older Friends"- Everett Haarstad, Harold Miskey, Phil Butcher and Leonard Long.

Funeral Services will be held from the Bentley Ag Center, Bentley, AB on Friday, September 2, 2011 at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow in the Bentley Cemetery. If friends desire memorial contributions may be made to the Stollery Children's Hospital, 8440-112th St., Edmonton, AB. T6G 2B7.
