It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Bruce Alan Motley at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at the age of 60 years, following a courageous and challenging seven-year fight with cancer. Bruce was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.
He is survived by Sherry, his loving wife of 31 years; eldest, Kendra (Scott) Noble and granddaughter, Evalin; and youngest, Kaye Motley. He is also greatly remembered by his brothers: Barry (Tilly), Terry (Laurie), Lyle (Rose), and Lorne (Suzanne); as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family. Bruce was predeceased by his parents, Raymond and Muriel Motley.
The family is grateful to the doctors, nurses, and health care staff at the Central Alberta Cancer Centre and Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre, for their compassion and wonderful care - you are the angels among us. They would like to thank Dr. Mairs, Dr. Hackett, and Dr. Lam for all their guidance and support.
A Celebration of Life, and a chance to say cheers to Bruce, will be held at a later time. Memorial tributes can be made to the Junior Golf Foundation of Gull Lake; or to the Central Alberta Cancer Centre in honour of Bruce.
