On October 10th, Carl Bryanton passed at the age of 98 years. Carl lived his life relishing every day with an optimistic eye on the future, and yet embraced the moment.
Carl was born December 23, 1920 in Bowden, Alberta as a twin. He grew up in Rimbey, Alberta on a farm with a large family of 10 brothers and sisters. He met the love of his life, Esther, and they shared 67 wonderful years. Carl pursued his love of farming while working in the Oil and Gas Industry in Rocky Mountain House, Alberta.
Carl connected deeply with many people throughout his life. Family was the root of his happiness, along with reciting poetry, playing a good game of cards and helping his neighbours.
Carl's & Esther's retirement years were active, filled with world travel, sports, senior drop-in centres, and visiting many friends and family. After Rocky, they lived in Calgary, Rimbey and Vernon, BC.
Carl is survived by his four children; Ronald (Irina) Bryanton & children Alexandra, Brayden, Clifford Bryanton & daughter Deanne (Travis) Wierenga & great grandchildren Elias, Nathan, Vickie (Tom) Teskey & daughter Carla, Gwen (Bruce) Klint & daughter Renee. Predeceased by his loving wife Esther, grandson Kyle and daughter-in-law Dorothy, Parents Flora & Herbert, Sisters Catherine Hohn (Carl's twin) Irene Hohn, Edna Pratt, Mabel Marshall, Lillian Shaw, Mary Bauer and Brothers Fred, Delbert, Jackie, Don and numerous in-laws. He is survived by one Bryanton in-law Edna.
The Memorial will be held Saturday, October 26th, 2019 @ 2 pm in Rimbey, Alberta at the Rimbey Drop In Centre (5110 - 53rd Avenue). In lieu of flowers, donations to the Rimbey Senior Drop-in Centre would be appreciated (P.O. Box 1352, Rimbey, Alberta, TOC 2JO).
