Charles (Chuck) Frederick Simpson

It is with great sadness that the family of Charles Frederick Simpson better known as Chuck announces his passing at the University Hospital on Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at the age of 64 years. Chuck was born August 27, 1943 at the Rimbey hospital. He took all his schooling in Rimbey and was born to be a farmer/cattleman. After completing grade 12 ““he went from the back of the bus to the front of the bus”” to drive the school bus in the Leedale area for 42 years. Chuck married Bernice Hawkings on November 13, 1964 at the Rimbey Anglican Church of The Epiphany. Chuck will be lovingly remembered by his wife Bernice, daughter Karen & Paul Stuebing of Slave Lake, and son Chris & Deb of Rimbey as well as eight beautiful grandchildren: Javier, Saphron, Domenek, and Apallona Stuebing; and Cody, Erin, Jenna & Janelle Simpson. He also leaves behind one brother Bill and Diane of Crestomere, and one sister Betty and Mike Adamkewicz of Slave Lake and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, aunts and uncles. Charles was predeceased by his parents, Fred and Adeline Simpson in 2003.


Funeral Services will be held from the Rimbey Community Center on Monday, April 14, 2008 at 1:00 PM. Interment at the West Haven Cemetery, Rimbey. If friends desire memorial contributions may be made to the Rimbey Hospital Building Project, Box 440, Rimbey, Alberta T0C 2J0.
