Clara Christine Rangen

Clara Christine Rangen passed away peacefully in the Red Deer Hospital on February 14, 2005, one week after her 90th birthday. Clara was born February 6, 1915 to Martha and Hans Reirson on the family homestead Northwest of Gilby, Alberta. Clara is survived by her daughter Elaine Rutschke, her son Norris and Gail and her family. She is also survived by four grandsons, Brad Rutschke (Angela) Jon (Gloria) Rangen, Curtis Rangen, Murray Rangen and three great granddaughters Erin and Leslie Rutschke and Shay-Ann Rangen, her sister Judy (Art) Frayn, three sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband John in December 1997, her daughter-in-law Margaret Rangen in 1986, grandson Quinton Rangen in 1995, son-in-law Leslie Rutschke in 1996, nine brothers and one sister, her parents and several sisters-inlaw and brothers-in-law. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Leslieville Community Centre on Saturday February 19, 2005 from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. A celebration of Clara’s life was held at the Leslieville Community Centre on Saturday February 19, 2005 at 11:00 a.m., with a time of refreshments and fellowship following interment at the Gilby Cemetery. If friends desire memorial contributions may be made in Clara’s memory to the Diabetes Association #6 5015 - 48 St. Red Deer, AB T4N 1S9 or to the Heart & Stroke Foundation #101, 5208 - 53 Ave. Red Deer, AB T4N 5K2.
