GHESEGER
Mrs. Clarene Grace Gheseger (nee Skeels) of Rimbey, Alberta passed away at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre, Rimbey on Monday, June 29, 2009 at the age of 87 years.
Clarene was born on May 7, 1922 in Bentley, Alberta. She was devoted to her church, and loved to spend time with her family, and also enjoyed connecting with her extended family. Clarene's interests were vast, and included baking, decorating wedding cakes, knitting and quilting.
"She will be remembered for her loving spirit, and her many acts of kindness to family and friends."
Clarene will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her two sons, Ken Jr. (Janet) of Red Deer; and Keith (Barb) of Nanaimo, B.C.; as well as her daughter-in-law, Kaye Gheseger. She was a loving grandmother to Susan, Ronald, Tracey, Stacy, Robin, Greg, Ashley and Brittany; and a cherished great grandmother to Marc, Alannah, Nicole and Jacob. Clarene will also be lovingly remembered by her two sisters, Edna (Jim) Speakman; and Alene Muir; in addition to many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Ken in 1994; her daughter, Muriel Lynn in 1986; her brothers, Walter Skeels and Raymond Skeels; and her sisters, Mildred Christianson and Cleo Skeels.
A Public Memorial Service in Celebration of Clarene's Life was held at the Rimbey United Church, Rimbey on Friday, July 10, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. with the Reverend Deborah Laing officiating. Cremation took place at the Central Alberta Crematorium, Red Deer.
