Colleen Ida Meidinger of Rimbey, Alberta, formerly of Canmore, Alberta, passed away peacefully at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre on Sunday, May 16, 2021 at the age of 81 years.
Colleen will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by her loving family: her husband of 62 years, Clarence; two sons, Wayne (Barb) Meidinger of Exshaw, Alberta; and Wade Meidinger of Canmore; and her daughter, Wendy Meidinger (Neil Clarke) of Medicine Hat; in addition to five cherished grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
She will also be lovingly remembered by two sisters, Betty (Dale) Scharf of Camrose; and Evelyn (Ben) Frank of Clairmont, Alberta; in addition to numerous nieces and nephews, other family members, and many dear friends.
Colleen was predeceased by her parents, Art and Tilla Johnson; her son, Gordon; one sister, Florence; and one brother, Gordon.
With respect for Colleen's wishes, no formal funeral service will be held. She will be interred alongside her son, Gordon in the Waterhole Cemetery in Northern Alberta at a later date.
