D.G. Lyle Lyster of Winfield, Alberta passed away quietly with family by his side at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre, Rimbey on Friday, December 1, 2017 at the age of 82 years.
Lyle will be forever remembered and sadly missed by his loving family: his three sons, Reg Lyster of Winfield; Jim (Linda) Lyster also of Winfield; and Stuart (Ila) Lyster of Rimbey; and his four daughters, Carol Lyster (Kenn Orr) of Calgary; Marian (Harold) Dudenhoeffer of Rimbey; Ruby Nielsen of Strathmore; and Diana Lyster (Wayne Bruneau) of Innisfail; as well as thirteen cherished grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
He will also be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his brother, Ivor Lyster of Stettler; in addition to numerous nieces and nephews.
Lyle was predeceased by his parents, Reginald and Vada; his beloved wife, Florence in 2012; his son, Willie in 1964; his grandson, Billy in 2000; his son-in-law, Barry Nielsen; and nine brothers and two sisters.
A Public Memorial Service in Celebration of Lyle's Life was held at the Winfield Community Centre, Winfield on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Terry Oke officiating. Interment preceded the Memorial Service in the Mount Clare Cemetery, Winfield at 11:00 a.m.
