BURCHNALL
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Dale Allen Burchnall of Rimbey on February 19, 2011. Dale was born in Rimbey, Alberta on May 28, 1937 to Byron (Joe) and Effie Burchnall. Dale had several ventures and enjoyed the business of business. While the farm was always closest to his heart, Journeyman partsman, land surveyor, restaurant operator, agricultural feed consultant, land man, real estate agent, bulk fuel station owner and notary public were some of his many endeavours. Dale leaves to mourn his loving wife of 49 years, Dorothy. He was the proud and loving father of three sons, Irving (Lane, Jessie and Spencer) of Beaumont; Grant of Vernon, British Columbia; and Byron (Pam, Sydney and Carson) of Rimbey. He is also survived by a very special brother, Ivor, of Calgary; mother-in-law, Elizabeth (Lilllian) Hawkings, of Rimbey; four brother-in-laws (and their wives); four sister-in-laws (and their husbands); and many nieces and nephews. Dale was predeceased by his father, Joe, in 1963; mother, Effie, in 1981; sister, Carroll, in 1993; father-in-law, Edgar in 2000; brother-in-law, Ferrand, in 1972; and brother-in-law, Tim, in 1962. Funeral services will be held from the Rimbey Community Centre on Monday, February 28, 2011 at 1:00 PM with Reverend Deborah Laing officiating.
