In loving memory ~
On September 5, 2022, Damkerng (Duncan) Congcar passed away peacefully at the age of 85 with his beloved family by his side.
He is survived by his wife Sripen, son Congsin (Jantana, CJ), son Dusit (Sara, Saydee), and daughter Tim (Narain, Mimi, Pepe and Bo). He was predeceased by his loving Soonthorn Sintu and his parents.
Duncan was a loving, supportive and caring husband, father, grandfather, son, uncle, brother and cousin. Born and raised in Nong Chang, Uthai Thani, Thailand, Duncan first arrived in Edmonton to complete his Education Masters Degree on a scholarship at the University of Alberta. He fell in love with Alberta and made Rimbey his permanent home.
Throughout his life, he became an accomplished teacher, a great mechanic, a business and land owner, a town councillor and a community leader. He cared deeply about teaching and had a collection of all the attendance books since the 1970's.
As an avid golfer and curler, he led an active lifestyle and was always ready for the next adventure.
His kindness, generosity and friendly nature touched those around him.
Duncan has left a great impression and his smiles and presence will be greatly missed by all who loved him.
