David John Siebold of Forshee, Alberta passed away at the Lacombe Hospital and Care Centre, Lacombe on Friday, May 23, 2014 at the age of 53 years after a short, but courageous battle with a brain tumour.
David was born in Camrose, Alberta on December 16, 1960 to Doris and Ralph Siebold. The family moved to the Hoadley area when David was six years old, where he was raised with his siblings, Quentin, Harley, Christine, and Margaret. David met and married his soul-mate, Jeannine Desautels in the year, 1987. Over the next twenty-seven years, they were blessed with three wonderful children, Gabriel (Erin); Monique (Tyler) Larsen; and Logan; as well as three precious grandchildren, Adalynn (age two); Peyton (age eight months); and one expected to arrive in June. He is also survived by his loving mother, Doris Siebold of Hoadley; in addition to many nieces and nephews, other family members, and numerous close and cherished friends. David was predeceased by his father, Ralph Siebold in 2003.
David was a well-respected member of the community. Many friends, neighbours, family members, and colleagues came to David as their “go-to” guy. He touched many lives, and will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered.
A Public Memorial Service in Honour of David’s Life was held at the Blindman Valley Ag Centre, 5202 – 51 Street, Bentley on Thursday, May 29, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. with the Reverend David Holmes officiating. Cremation took place at the Central Alberta Crematorium, Red Deer.
