DOERING

Derold Doering passed away peacefully surround by his loving family in Red Deer Regional Hospital on October 28, 2016 at the age of 78. Derold was born on May 17, 1938 in Coronation, Alberta to Adolf and Louise Doering. Derold married his Wife Patricia (Chinnery) on October 27, 1962. They lived on their mixed farm north of Coronation and raised their four children. Derold and Pat semi-retired to the Rimbey area June of 1998 where they continued to live on a farm and raised horses and cattle.

Derold had a full life; as a husband and father he was involved with his family's activities and interests. In later years Derold developed a passion for "cutting horses" where he competed and then became a mentor and coach to young riders who participated in a sport that he loved.

He is survived by his loving wife Patricia, his son Wade (Christine) Doering of Calgary; his daughters, Darlene (Gary) Mueller of Langley BC, Darolee (Ken) Bouteiller of Red Deer, and Nicki Dalton of Red Deer. Grandchildren Darcie, Brandon, Candace Bouteiller, Brooke and Dayne Dalton, Ryan Doering, and Brent,Colter, and Tanner Mueller. His brother Les (Anne) Doering, Nephews Dwayne Doering, and Dale (Linda) Doering of Innisfail, Jess Chinnery, Arlo (Bell) Chinnery of Red Deer.

Funeral Services were held at Wilson's Funeral Chapel in Rimbey, Alberta on Wednesday November 2nd at 1:00pm with Reverend David Holmes officiating. Derold was laid to rest in the Coronation Cemetery.
