Doreen Phyllis Gallagher (Ranger)
Doreen passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 20, 2011 at the age of 86 years. She is survived by her daughter, Peggy Farries, her son, Jim (Susan) Ranger, 3 granddaughters, 1 grandson and 3 great grandchildren as well as many step-children and their families. She was predeceased by her husband, Glenn, in 1999 and by her brother and sisters.Born in Saskatoon, where she attended normal school, Doreen taught in rural schools. She moved with her first husband, Robert Ranger, from Saskatchewan to a farm in the Bentley area in 1945. She was a teacher in Bentley and area for many years. She retired to Lacombe , became an active volunteer, and married Glenn. They lived for many years in the Lacombe Lodge. Funeral services will be held from St Andrew's United Church 5226-51st Ave in Lacombe on Friday, April 1, 2011 at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Lacombe Foundation.
