Mrs. Eileen Lenore Lawton of Rimbey, Alberta, formerly of the Gilby District (Snooseville), passed away at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre, Rimbey on Tuesday, January 10, 2006 at the age of 88 years.
Eileen will be lovingly remembered by her children, Jim Lawton (Hope Jensen) of Eckville, Nancy Lawton (Dave Nestorvich) of Devon, Patrick Alexander of Manitoba, and John Lawton (Eylan) of Costa Rica, as well as nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She will also be lovingly remembered by her sister, Nora Brodersen of Rimbey, a special family friend, Cameron Ostercamp of Blackie, Alberta, in addition to many nieces, nephews and other relatives. Eileen was predeceased by her husbands, Robert Alexander and Alick Lawton, her daughter, Lori Lawton Andersen, her daughter-in-law, Barb Lawton, and three brothers, Maurice McTighe, Phillip McTighe, and George McTighe.
Relatives and Friends were invited to a Prayer Vigil which was held at St. Margaret’s Catholic Church, Rimbey on Friday, January 13, 2006 at 7:30 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Margaret’s Catholic Church, Rimbey on Saturday, January 14, 2006 at
11:00 a.m. with the Reverend Father Victor Eze, Celebrant. Interment followed in the Gilby Cemetery, Gilby at 2:00
