Ernst 'Ernie' Naegeli of Red Deer, passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital on July 19, 2011 at the age of 85 years. Ernie was born in Switzerland and immigrated to Rimbey, AB in 1955 where he worked on his dairy farm until retiring in 2001 at the age of seventy-five years. Ernie was a loving husband and a devoted father, grandfather and friend. Ernie will be remembered by his loving wife, Rosmary, of fifty-nine years; his four daughters, Christine, Rose, Helen, and Esther; as well as his six grandchildren, Jennifer, Jayden, Scott, Matthew, Mark and Michael. Ernie was predeceased by his son-in-law John and grandson David. A Celebration of Ernie's Life will be held from the chapel of Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, 6287 - 67 A Street (Taylor Drive), Red Deer, Alberta on Saturday, July 23, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Ernie's honour may be made directly to the Golden Circle, 4620 - 47 A Avenue, Red Deer, Alberta, T4N 3R4.
