PHALEMPIN Mr. Etienne Antoine (Steve) Phalempin of Rimbey, Alberta passed away peacefully with his family at his side, at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre, Rimbey on Thursday, January 27, 2005 at the age of 89 years. Steve will be lovingly remembered by his son, Dave (Betty) Phalempin of Rimbey; and his daughter, Sylviane Jones of Surrey, B.C.; as well as four grandchildren, Tracy (Jim) deVries and their children, Jacee and Jenna, all of Rimbey; Steven (Lauri) Phalempin and their children, Taylor, Tenniel, and Savanna, all of Ponoka; Kevin (Selena) Jones of Chilliwack, B.C.; and Leah Jones of Surrey, B.C. Steve will also be lovingly remembered by four sisters, Mariette ‘Molly’ Phalempin of Kelowna, B.C.; Marie-Bette ‘Betty’ Buss of St. Lazare, Quebec; Solange Allen of Spruce Grove; and Jacquie (Fritz) Prunkl of Edmonton; in addition to many nieces and nephews. Steve was predeceased by his parents; his wife, Monty in 1994; three brothers, Gerard, Henri, and Paul; and one sister, Marie Antoinette. Relatives and Friends were invited to a Prayer Vigil which was held at St. Margaret’s Catholic Church, Rimbey on Wednesday, February 2, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Margaret’s Catholic Church, Rimbey on Thursday, February 3, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. with the Reverend Father Peter Sharpe, Celebrant. Cremation followed in Red Deer, Alberta. At a later date, Steve’s cremated remains will be interred beside his beloved wife in the Holy Cross Cemetery, St. Albert, Alberta. If friends desire, memorial tributes in Steve’s Memory may be made directly to the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre, Box 440, Rimbey, Alberta T0C 2J0; or to the charity of one’s choice.
