GARDNER

Sadly we say goodbye to Eunice Carol Gardner (nee Odland) who passed away unexpectedly on Saturday August 24, 2013 in the Rimbey Hospital at the age of 79 years.

Eunice was born at Carlos, Alberta on February 6, 1934. She grew up in this area and took her schooling at Sleepy Valley. As a teenager, Eunice worked at the Rocky Hospital. On May 4, 1955, Eunice was united in marriage to William (Bill) Gardner and together they farmed west of Leedale, where Eunice resided until her passing.

Eunice was a very unique, humble, talented, kind lady. She loved to write poetry, play music (by ear). Eunice was always an avid sewer, sewing many projects for her family, as well she loved woodworking, and not last or least she loved her animals.

Eunice's family played a major role in her life. Anyone who knew Eunice will not forget her quick witted humor she possessed.

Eunice will be forever lovingly remembered by her daughter, Helen (Bobby Lee); son, Tom (Tracey); grandchildren, Danielle (Dalom) Blair, Riley, Josh, Alena; great grandson Jacob, son-in-law, Mike Fortin as well as cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Eunice was predeceased by her parents, Jacob and Lena; two brothers, Lawrence and Luke; two sisters, Nellie Glover, Beulah Phillips; husband, Bill and daughter Wilma Fortin.

A celebration of Eunice's life will be held from the Leedale Community Hall on Thursday August 29, 2013 at 2:00 PM.

If friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
