Life is like a camera lens ... focus on what's important, and it is captured perfectly.

With deep sadness we announce the passing of F. "Scotty" Aitken of Rimbey, Alberta.

Surrounded by his closest friends, Scotty passed away peacefully at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre ~ Acute Care on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at the age of 93 years.

Scotty was predeceased by his beloved wife, Margaret in 2015; and his son, David.

He leaves behind his four-legged buddy, Bruce, who will miss him greatly.

They say good friends are hard to find, harder to leave, and impossible to forget.

Scotty will be lovingly remembered by a large circle of cherished friends, business associates, and acquaintances who will always treasure his quick wit, his companionship, and the precious memories his camera captured.

Scotty loved to laugh; his life enhanced by his friends who made his smile brighter, his laugh louder, his life more enriched.

What he caught on film is captured forever ~ it remembers the little things ... long after everything else is forgotten. Rest in peace, Scotty.

A Public Graveside Service in Scotty's Honour will be held at the Columbarium in the West Haven Cemetery, Rimbey on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. A time of fellowship and light refreshments will follow at the Smithson International Truck Museum, Rimbey.
