BENGTSON, FRED
Born in Frontier, Sask. on February 8, 1926, Fredrik Victor Bengtson passed away peacefully at Lacombe Care Centre on June 22, 2009. We will miss his great sense of humor. Fred made many friends while working many places in the world and shared pictures and memories of these ventures. He enjoyed music, going to rodeos and was a great dancer. His creative streak was demonstrated by the wagon wheels he made for the Dorchester wagon. Quite simply he was the best, as shown when he was a relief mechanic up north - if it couldn't be fixed by anyone else, call Fred. He will be greatly missed by all his family; daughters Penny (Joe), Margo, Judy, who took care of him for the last 5 years, Holly (Brad); and sons Tim and Robbin and families. Also mourning are his sisters Norma, Thelma, Eleanor (John), Sylvia; and brother Cody and families. Predeceased by his daughter Melody and sisters Virgina, Ruby and brother Stan. Donations in his memory may be made to the Palliative Care Society at the Lacombe Hospital. At his request there will be no funeral, but a celebration of his life on June 27th at Bluffton.
