BECKER
In the company of his family, Mr. Fred Junior Becker of Rimbey, Alberta passed away peacefully at his daughter's home in Calgary on Sunday, May 22, 2011 at the age of 80 years. Fred will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his beloved wife of 52 years, Nina; two sons, Cordell Becker of Calgary; and Colin Becker (Bill Bradley) also of Calgary; as well as his two daughters, Charlene Cavers of Fort St. John, B.C. and her family, Brad Cavers (Tanya Cockburn), and Reese Cavers; and Cheryle (Ed) Kokts-Porietis of Calgary and their family, Dana Grinde, Kelly Grinde, Kristof Kokts-Porietis, and Reneé Kokts-Porietis. He will also be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by four sisters, Beverly (John) Gunnell of Abbotsford, B.C.; Shirley (Allan) Higgs of Regina, Saskatchewan; Colleen (Ron) Munro of Red Deer; and Carolyn Jefferson also of Red Deer; in addition to numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Fred was predeceased by his parents, Fred and Anna; and his son-in-law, Doug Cavers in 2010. A Public Memorial Service in Celebration of Fred’s Life was held at the Zion Lutheran Church, Rimbey on Friday, May 27, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. with the Reverend David Holmes officiating. Cremation took place at the Central Alberta Crematorium, Red Deer.
