Mr. Gary Edwin McKenzie of Winfield, AB passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Saturday, January 1, 2011 at the age of 64 years. Gary will be lovingly remembered by his two sons Jason McKenzie of Whitecourt, AB and Neil Hawkins of Calgary, AB; five daughters Keri (Shawn) Schlosser of Red Deer, AB, Renee (Calvin) Couturier of Slave Lake, AB, Renee (Shadra) Brinton of Red Deer, AB, Stacey McKenzie of Nanaimo, BC and Jamie McKenzie of Fort Smith, NWT and six grandchildren. Also left to cherish Gary's memory are two brothers, John McKenzie and Brian McKenzie both of Athabasca, AB and three sisters Colleen (Gordon) Uchytil of Calling Lake, AB, Barb McKenzie of Dawson Creek, BC and Roxanne McKenzie of Athabasca, AB. Gary was predeceased by his parents John (Mickey) McKenzie and Wilma McKenzie as well as one son Robbie McKenzie. A Funeral Service for the late Gary Edwin McKenzie was held in Athabasca, AB on Saturday, January 8, 2011. At Gary's request, cremation has taken place and his urn will be interred in the Athabasca Cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations may be made directly to the charity of the donor's choice.
