Glenn Marshall

MARSHALL Glenn Edwin Marshall of Bentley passed away peacefully at home on January 8, 2005. He was 79 years old. He was born on April 14, 1925 in Rimbey, AB. His family moved to Tees, AB, where the children grew up. In 1963 he moved to Bentley, where he resided until his passing. His main occupation in life was a heavy equipment operator on road construction and the oil patch. His job took him to various parts of Alberta and the NWT. He had a very special sense of humor, and his quick wit will be missed by all who knew him. He had a special love for dogs, horses and all animals and spent many enjoyable hours at the farm of his niece, Jo and husband Jim Schmidt of the Chigwell area. He is survived by his wife, Esther, three stepsons, Jack McCrindle, Gerry (Sharon) McCrindle, and James McCrindle. Glenn also had two step-grandsons, Michael and Wade, a beloved great granddaughter, Kelsi Michael McCrindle. Also his brother, Lynn Marshall of Toefield, AB and sisters Linda Watt and Vi Conrod, sister-in-law Mickey and numerous nieces and nephews, and brothersin-law Jim and Niel. He was predeceased by his parents, Glenn and Linda Marshall, sisters Marie, Glady Rasmussen, Jean Justimen, Lola Doherty, Esther Svienson, Eva Bawtinheimer. Brothers he was deceased by were Earl, Douglas and Jake. A Memorial Gathering was held at the Tees Hall on Saturday, February 5, at 1:00 pm with Pastor Greg Rathjin officiating. If so desired, donations may be made in Glenn’s honor to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 101 5208-53 Ave. Red Deer, AB. T4N 5K2 Wilson’s Funeral Home provided services.
