WIESE
Mrs. Gloria Mae Wiese of Bentley, Alberta passed away quietly and peacefully at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre, Rimbey, following a courageous battle with cancer, on Monday, June 14, 2010 at the age of 57 years.
Gloria was born in Calgary, Alberta on May 5, 1953, to Abe and Mae Reimer. She began school in Calgary, and a few years later attended school at Crestomere when she moved with her family to the area. Gloria graduated from the Ponoka High School and then enrolled at the Alberta Bible Institute in Camrose. From there she obtained her Bachelor of Education from the University of Calgary. Gloria taught at the Eckville Elementary School and also on the Newdale Hutterite Colony in Southern Alberta. In 1980, she was united in marriage to Bryan Wiese of Bentley, where they have resided until her passing. Gloria's greatest love was her three children; Jason, Jenna and Devin. She was very active in the Blindman Valley Ski Club, the Blindman Valley 4-H Beef Club, and was a member of the Outlet Ladies Get Together Club for many years. Gloria enjoyed her garden and yard, and for many years she also possessed an avid passion for quilting. Every quilt she made held a special meaning to those who received them.

Gloria will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her husband, Bryan; her two sons, Jason Wiese and Devin Wiese, both of Bentley; her daughter, Jenna Wiese of Bentley; as well as her parents, Abe and Mae Reimer also of Bentley. She will also be loving remembered and sadly missed by one brother, Barry Reimer of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; and two sisters, Leona Cale of Red Deer; and Carol (Keith) Borlé of Courtenay, B.C.; in addition to numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
A Public Funeral Service in Celebration of Gloria's Life was held at the Alliance Community Church, 4404 - 47 Avenue, Sylvan Lake on Friday, June 18, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Kevin Haugan officiating. Interment followed at 3:00 p.m. in the Bentley Cemetery, Bentley.
