REAUGH


It is with great sadness the family of Gordon (Gord) Russell Reaugh of Sylvan Lake, Alberta and formerly of Rimbey, announces his sudden passing at Quartzsite, Arizona on March 14, 2015 at the age of 59 years. Gord was born on November 24, 1955 to Melvin (Mel) and Margaret (Eleanor) Reaugh. Gord married Joanne Rude and together they had two sons, Devin and Garrett.

Entering the "Oil Patch" after High School, Gord worked first in the seismic industry and then entered the oil and gas production sector, working in the Rimbey area and Northern British Columbia. Later, after setting up his own consulting firm, Right Track Oilfield Services Ltd., Gord worked on numerous oilfield construction projects as manager/supervisor. His career in the petroleum industry spanned 40 years.

In the oil and gas industry, Gord was well respected for his dedication to detail, fairness and respect for colleagues and workers and his ability to "consistently deliver results within time and budget expectations".

Predeceased in death by his parents, Gord is survived by his beloved sons, Devin and Garrett and one grandson Dylan. Gord also leaves to mourn, his life partner Ellen Robertson of Sylvan Lake, Alberta, two sisters, Marilee Fath and her son Ryan, and Joanne (Garry) Marek and their children, Michael and Morgan, numerous other nieces and nephews and many close friends.

Gord enjoyed many outdoor activities such as snowmobiling, camping, fishing. Quadding and motorcycling.

A memorial service and celebration of Gord's life will be held from the Forshee Hall in Forshee, Alberta on Saturday May 2, 2015 at 2:00 PM.
