Gordon Graham McNabb of Rimbey, Alberta passed away peacefully at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at the age of 78 years.
Gordon will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his loving children, Diane (Marjan) Filipic of Thorsby; Lorena (William) Houghton of Ponoka; Donna (Glen) Szautner of Evansburg; and Norma-Jean (Fred) Ladwig of Red Deer; as well as twelve treasured grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. He will also be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his brother, Don McNabb of Edmonton; and two sisters, Maggie Perrault of Yellowknife, N.W.T.; and Josie Craig (Wally Steinbring) of Barrhead; as well as his special niece, Shirley Bard of Rimbey; numerous additional nieces and nephews; other relatives; and many close friends. Gordon was predeceased by his parents, Hanna and Thomas McNabb; his beloved wife, Lovina in 2014; his daughter, Nancy in 2014; his grandson, Randall in 1985; one brother, Andy; and three sisters, Violet, Helen, and Rosemarie.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Margaret's Catholic Church, Rimbey on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with the Reverend Father Les Drewicki, Celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Bluffton. If friends desire, memorial tributes in Gordon's Memory may be made directly to the charity of one's choice.
