On November 3, 2010, Heather Tillotson passed away at the age of 71 years. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Irv; son Kirby (Jennifer); daughter Colleen (Raul); grandchildren, Aretha, Daly and Ella as well as many friends and extended family.
Heather was predeceased by her parents, Walter and Jesse Alexander as well as her brother Andrew. Heather was born in Vermilion, Alberta and later moved with her family to Rimbey, Alberta before settling in Edmonton to pursue her B.Ed. degree from the University of Alberta. She was a much loved teacher at the Alberta School for the Deaf for 32 years. During her time at the school, she obtained her M.E.d degree in Deaf Education from Western Maryland College. Heather was a gifted artist, seamstress and chocolate-maker.
A Celebration of Heather's Life will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 13, 2010 at Foster and McGarvey Funeral Home, 10011 - 114 Street, Edmonton.
