April 24, 1921 - January 14, 2021
It is with bittersweet emotions that the family of Inga Beddoes (nee Solberg) announce her passing on Jan 14th at the Bentley Care Centre at the age of 99 years.
Inga was born to John and Sophie Solberg on April 24, 1921, on the family farm in the Sunset Hills west of Bentley. She was raised in a family of 16 children and had many stories to tell of those years.
She met and married Leonard Beddoes, the love of her life. After Leonard returned from the war they settled in the Lockhart Valley where they raised their family and farmed.
"Retirement" found them working as cooks in fly-in oil camps all over northern Canada. Inga was predeceased by her parents, her husband Leonard, 14 brothers and sisters, and, sadly, by great granddaughter Joslyn Snow.
Inga is survived by one sister Myrtle, sons Stan (Marg) and Greg (Debra) and daughter LeAnne (Milt). Inga also leaves 10 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
A service of remembrance and celebration will be held when COVID-19 rules allow.
Her ashes will be interned beside those of her husband at the Vig Lutheran Cemetery.
She often told us, "I've had a good life" and she lived in gratitude for that gift.
The family is very grateful to the staff at Bentley Care Center for the care and love
shown to Inga. When time or distance or rules prevented our being there we knew she was safe and comfortable.
Donations of remembrance may be made to the Bentley Care Center at Box 30, Bentley, Alberta T0C 0J0 or to the charity of the donor's choice.
