Jim Gainer of Donalda, Alberta passed away at St. Mary's Hospital in Camrose, Alberta on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at the age of 48 years. Jim was born on May 31, 1970 at Stettler, Alberta to parents Margaret and Max Gainer.
Jim is survived by his wife Lorie Gainer; his son Tyrell Gainer; brother Eddie Gainer; mother- and father-in-law Don (Ilene) Bauman; sisters-in-law Bev (Carl) Hayne and Brenda (Eric) Haustein; brothers-in-law Brad (Sue) Bauman, Ron Bauman (Janice); uncle Ed (aunt Marie) Taggart; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Jim was predeceased by his parents Margaret and Max Gainer.
A celebration of Jim's life was held on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at the Donalda Community Hall with Pastor Bev Swanson officiating. Loving tributes were presented by eulogist Jim Wilson and soloist Marie Taggart, Teresa Kneeland shared her gift of music for the congregational hymn, several of Jim's favourite recordings were shared. Jim was laid to rest near his home at Spruce Coulee Cemetery, Donalda, Alberta. Following the interment service, a time of sharing memories and a luncheon by the Ladies of Spruce Coulee and Donalda Communities was held.
