February 7, 2019
Jeanne Kay Hillis passed away suddenly but peacefully on Thursday, February 7, 2019, at the age of 68 years, beloved wife of Bruce Hillis of Foremost. She also leaves to cherish her memory two children, Greg (Kim) Hillis and their children Isaac, Sam and Leo all of Louisville, Kentucky; Kristy (Brett) Lindenback and their children Mason, Cole and Tessa all of Okotoks; her brothers Jim (Dotti) Hughes of Palm Desert, California, John (Lisa) Hughes of Casa Grande, Arizona and her mother-in-law Betty Hillis of Rimbey. She was predeceased by her parents, Erma and Joseph Hughes and her father-in-law Harvey Hillis. Jeanne worked all her life in administration though the highlight was her time working in Kananaskis. The people and opportunities she enjoyed there were some of her happiest memories. She was a great mother and doting grandmother. Her faith was a large part of her life, however music and singing were her gift which she shared joyfully. To celebrate Jeanne's life, the funeral service was held in the Foremost Community Hall (802 1st Avenue West, Foremost) on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Evans Hundermark officiating. As an expression of sympathy, those who wish to remember Jeanne with a donation may direct it to the Jack Ady Cancer Centre (at the Chinook Regional Hospital) 960 19th Street S. Lethbridge, Alberta T1J 1W5.
