Joanne G. Giesbrecht of Rimbey, Alberta passed away suddenly at her home on Sunday, September 21, 2008 at the age of 60 years.
“Joanne possessed an unending love for God, her treasured family, nature, children and music. She touched the hearts of many.”
Joanne will be lovingly remembered by Dwight Fraser; her sons, Garth (Rosanne) Fraser and their daughter, Kylie of Red Deer; and Gavin Fraser of Rimbey; as well as her father, Abe Giesbrecht of Rimbey. She will also be lovingly remembered by three brothers, Larry (Diane) Giesbrecht of Peace River; Martie (Michawn) Giesbrecht of Rimbey; and Kelly (Theresa) Giesbrecht of Rimbey; and six sisters, Diana Page of Bluffton; Donna (Ron) Hansen of Bentley; Pat (Mel) Matson of Rimbey; Linda (Garry) Peterson of Bentley; Darcy (Trevor) Dafoe of Newbrook, Alberta; and Tracy Giesbrecht of Rimbey; as well as many nieces and nephews. Joanne was predeceased by her son, Kevin in 2004; her mother, Jennie Mae in 1995; and her nephew, Shane Giesbrecht in 2002.
A Family Graveside Service in Celebration of Joanne’s Life was held at the West Haven Cemetery, Rimbey on Friday, September 26, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. with the Reverend Dave MacMillan officiating.
