MONTEITH


Mr. John Clifford Monteith of Breton, Alberta passed away in the Breton Continuing Care Centre on Wednesday December 14, 2011, at the age of 86 years.


Born in Rimbey, Alberta on June 3, 1925, Cliff was predeceased by his wife, Judeth, his parents, John and Venice Monteith and a sister, Viley Nikirk.


Cliff is survived by four sons; Dwain (Pat) Monteith of Breton, Alberta, Tim (Deb) Monteith of Kelowna, British Columbia, Terry (Val) Monteith of Whitehorse, Yukon, David (Cely) Monteith of Carvel, Alberta, two daughters; Ann (Dorda) Landry of California, and Aileen (Wes) Poffenroth of North Battleford, Saskatchewan. Cliff also leaves to mourn one sister, Gay Grundy of Rimbey, one brother, Virgil Monteith of Red Deer and seventeen grandchildren, thirty-one great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.


Funeral services were held at the Rimbey United Church on Tuesday December 20, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Deborah Laing officiating. Interment of Cliff's cremated remains followed in the West Haven Cemetery.
