LAURITSEN
John Peter Lauritsen of Eckville, Alberta passed away at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at the age of 79 years.
John will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his two sons, Chris Lauritsen of Eckville; and Gary Lauritsen of Penhold; as well as his brother, Hans Lauritsen of Olds; and five sisters, Betty Lauritsen of Red Deer; Annie Luoma of Sylvan Lake; Mabel Lund of Benalto; Edith Lauritsen of Red Deer; and Esther Mockford of Eckville; in addition to many nieces and nephews. John was predeceased by his parents, Julia and Thomas; one brother, Martin; and his special friend, Mabel Mandelin.
An Informal Gathering in Honour of John's Life will be held at the Gilby Community Hall, Gilby on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. Cremation took place at the Central Alberta Crematorium, Red Deer. Interment will be held at a later date in the Gilby Cemetery.
