Mrs. Joyce Paull of Bentley, Alberta passed away on September 26th, 2018 at Lacombe Hospital at the age of 79.
Joyce will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 43 years, Lawrence Paull of Bentley; son, Brian Weber (Shannon) of New South Wales Australia; brother, Doug Harmon (Karen) of Sherwood Park; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends. She was predeceased by her mother and father, Babe & Harold Harmon; and brother, Gordon Harmon. Joyce was born in Lacombe AB to Babe (Lillian) and Harold Harmon. She was raised on the family farm at Forshee and attended school at Chapel and High School in Rimbey. From there Joyce later married and had a son (Brian) and eventually moved to Bentley where she lived until 1975, working as a hairdresser in town for many years. Joyce also worked for Canada Post and at the Blue Light Liquor Store. She was actively engaged in the Royal Purple and eventually became the Honoured Royal Lady of the Local Chapter. Joyce enjoyed curling in the winter, the occasional round of golf in the summer, helping out on the farm and socialising with her many family & friends. Joyce met Lawrence in 1966, and in time they married (1975) and moved to the farm near Bentley where they lived together until her passing. A special thank you to the staff at Lacombe Hospital for their compassionate care.
A Celebration of Joyce's Life will be held at the Bentley Community Church, 4824 - 50 Street, Bentley AB, on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at 11:00 a.m., followed by lunch, with farewell drinks to be held at the Monkey Top Saloon afterwards.
