It is with sadness that it is announced that Mr. Keith Anthony Porter of Fox Creek, Alberta passed away suddenly at the Ponoka Hospital and Care Centre, Ponoka on Thursday, October 29, 2009 at the age of 66 years.
Keith was born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan on March 18, 1943. He obtained his schooling in Eckville, Alberta, and shortly thereafter he ventured north. Eventually, Keith settled in the Fox Creek, Alberta area where he resided for many years. He worked in the trucking industry for a while, and later at the Home Hardware lumber yard, which was a good fit as Keith loved carpentry. The Family wishes to thank Keith's good friends that helped him while he was in Fox Creek, especially as his health was failing.

Keith will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his sister, Barbara Ritter and her husband, Bob of Vancouver, B.C.; and his brother, Michael Land and his wife, Shelley of Rimbey; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and close friends. Keith was predeceased by his father, Owen Wells Porter; and his mother, Joan Margaret Katherine Land.
A Public Memorial Service in Celebration of Keith's Life was held at the Leedale Community Hall, Leedale on Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. with the Reverend Deborah Laing officiating. Interment followed in the Bradshaw Cemetery, Leedale. Cremation took place at the Central Alberta Crematorium, Red Deer.
