Ken Johnston of Buck Lake, Alberta passed away peacefully at home, with his family by his side, on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at the age of 87 years.
Ken will be forever remembered and greatly missed by his beloved wife, Irene; and his loving family: Miles (Eleanor) Johnston of Winfield; Riley Johnston (Debbie Hall) of Buck Lake; Brian (Marg) Johnston of Terrace, B.C.; Kevin (Jessica) Johnston of Winfield; Lori (Darryl) Darby of Stony Plain; Linnette (Tony) Abbott of San Antonio, Texas; and Terri (Paul) Coulas of Grande Prairie; as well as eighteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
He will also be lovingly remembered by his sister, Fern (Lloyd) Edwards of Blackfalds; in addition to numerous other relatives and many dear friends. Ken was predeceased by his parents; his son, Wendall; and one brother, Wilfred.
A Celebration of Ken's life will be held at a later date. Interment will take place in the Poplar Valley Cemetery, Winfield.
