Mr. Kenneth Alvin Hamilton of Rimbey, Alberta passed away at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre, Rimbey on Sunday, May 15, 2011 at the age of 68 years.

Ken was born on August 16, 1942 in Timmins, Ontario to Orval and Elizabeth Hamilton. He was raised in the Eckville and Rimbey areas, and obtained his schooling at Blue Bell, Mountview and Rimbey High School. Ken farmed and worked in the oilfield industry up until his passing, semi-retiring to Rimbey in 1998.

Ken will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his common-law wife, Susan Browne of Rimbey; his two brothers, Orval "Joe" Hamilton of Rimbey; and Roy (Dawn) Hamilton of Rimbey; and his three sisters, Marjorie (Ormand) Savage of Ontario; Susan (Kees) Van Kwawegen of Ontario; and Heather Hamilton of Red Deer; in addition to numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father in 1997, and by his mother in 1986.

With respect for Ken's wishes, no formal funeral service will be held. Cremation took place at the Central Alberta Crematorium, Red Deer. A Family Celebration of Ken's Life will be held at a later date.
