Laura Margaret Sambrook

Mrs. Laura Margaret Sambrook of Rimbey, Alberta passed away in the Rimbey hospital and Care Centre on Thursday January 5, 2006 at the age of 86 years with her family at her side.

Laura was born on April 4, 1919 at Bentley, Alberta. She was the oldest child of Grover and Lily Robson, and grew up in the Lockhart district.

Predeceased by her loving husband Julien Sambrook in 1996 and by her parents and one brother Allan, Laura is survived by her two sons; Roly (Brenda) Sambrook of Olds, Alberta, Bill Sambrook of Calgary, grandson Jason (Corrie) Martyn of Sundrie, great grandson Trystan Martyn as well as by her brother Russell (Joyce) Robson of Rimbey. Laura also leaves to mourn numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Laura loved her music and played at the Presbyterian church. She belonged to the ladies aid and she loved her flowers. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

In respecting Laura’s wishes, no funeral services will be held. Cremation has taken place and Laura’s cremated remains will be intered in the Bentley cemetery at a later date.
