It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a special wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, aunt, niece and friend, Laura Miller. After a courageous battle with cancer, Laura passed peacefully with her family by her side, at the Red Deer Hospice on January 12, 2013, at the age of 52. She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 36 years, Tom, their daughters Tanya (Robert) Blades, Becky (Ian Sambrooke), grand-daughter Kassandra Blades, father Leon Brown, mother-in-law Hilda Miller and countless family and friends. Laura is pre-deceased by her mother Donna Brown, father-in-law Earl Miller, brothers-in-law Dennis Miller, and Ron Miller. There will be no funeral service at Laura's request. A celebration of Laura's life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the: Red Deer Hospice Society, 99 Arnot Ave, Red Deer, Alberta T4R 3S6. Also, from the family, a very special and heartfelt thank you to all the staff at the Red Deer Hospice Society for their excellent and compassionate care, the Central Alberta Cancer Centre, Dr. Graham, Krista and to our caring Community for all their love and support.
