ZIMMERMAN

Mr. Lawrence Mervin Zimmerman of Windfield, Alberta passed away suddenly on Sunday July 28, 2013 one month after his 55th wedding anniversary and one month shy of his 78th birthday.

Predeceased by his parents; Julius and Martha Zimmerman and by a brother Donald, Lawrence is survived by his loving wife Christine of Winfield, one son; Wayne (Kathleen) of Winfield, two daughters; Gail (Ken) Freier of Devon, Alberta and Shiela (Don) Cote of Red Deer, nine grandchildren and was awaiting the arrival of his first great grandchild at the time of his passing. Lawrence also leaves to mourn one brother Bob (Irene) Zimmerman of Drayton Valley and one sister Marlene (Harvey) of Penticton.

Memorial services were held from the Winfield Recreation Centre on Thursday August 1, 2013 with Mr. Jim Bend officiating. Interment of Lawrence’s cremated remains followed in the Mont Claire Cemetery in Winfield.
