BATKE
Leila L. Batke of Rimbey, Alberta passed away peacefully at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre, Rimbey on Friday, December 6, 2013 at the age of 91 years.
Leila will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her son, Darwin (Gloria) Batke of Bluffton; and her two daughters, Lavina Fowler of Rimbey; and Blanche (Sam) Allison, also of Rimbey; as well as seven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and three great, great grandchildren. She will also be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her brother, Avery Liebing of Arizona, U.S.A.; two sisters, Joyce (Lyle) Potter of Red Deer; and Orlean Lesher of Lacombe; and her sister-in-law, Gladys Ramstad of Red Deer; in addition to many nieces and nephews. Leila was predeceased by her parents, Elva and Roland Liebing; her beloved husband, Irvin in 1992; her daughter, Sharon Batke; and two sisters, Irene Page and Evonne Wietzel.
A Public Funeral Service in Celebration of Leila's Life was held at the Hoadley Community Hall, Hoadley on Thursday, December 12, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. with the Reverend Deborah Laing officiating. Interment followed in the Hoadley Cemetery, Hoadley.
