WRIGHT
Mrs. Mabel Wright of Bluffton, Alberta passed away in the Rimbey Hospital & Care Centre on Friday August 28, 2009 at the age of 84 years.
Mabel was born on February 26, 1925 in Eureka, Montana to Elsworth and Elisabeth Raber. In 1929 the family moved to Canada, residing in the Turin, Retlaw and Vauxhall area's. Upon her mothers passing in 1944, the family settled in Barons, Alberta.
Mabel was united in marriage to Glen Wright on February 22, 1946. On December 17, 1949 Mabel gave birth to her son Reo. The family farmed in various parts of Alberta prior to finally settling at Bluffton in 1965.
Known for her love of children and animals, Mabel spent her time socializing, dancing, collecting dolls and travelling.
Predeceased by her parents, her loving husband Glen in 1990, one brother Elmer and a sister Ruth, Mabel is survived by her son Reo of Bluffton, two grandchildren; Devon (Shelly) and Joline and two great grandchildren Justin and Wesley all of Bluffton. Mabel also leaves to mourn two brothers; Howard and Phillip and three sisters; Marylene, Alice and Hazel.
Funeral services were held from the Zion Lutheran Church in Rimbey, Alberta on Thursday September 3, 2009 at 11:00 AM with Reverend David Holmes officiating. Interment followed in the Iola Fairview cemetery Bluffton, Alberta.
