Dion of Bluffton, Alberta passed away peacefully at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre, Rimbey on Friday, January 21, 2005 at the age of 80 years. Marcel will be lovingly remembered by his beloved wife, Mary; one son, Albert (Jessie) Dion of Shellbrook, Saskatchewan; one daughter, Debbie (Terry) Andresen of Airdrie; as well as four special grandchildren, Candice, Travis, Michelle and Jeff; and two cherished great granddaughters, Alyssa and Tarin. He will also be lovingly remembered by two brothers, Gus (Annie) Dion of Langley, B.C.; and Roger (Helen) Dion of Abbotsford, B.C.; and two sisters, Yvonne Bellerive of St. Paul, Alberta; and Rita (Ray) Hamel of Prince George, B.C. Marcel was predeceased by his parents, Marie and Albert Dion; and one sister, Cecile Gosselin. Relatives and Friends were invited to a Prayer Vigil which was held at St. Margaret’s Catholic Church, Rimbey on Tuesday, January 25, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Margaret’s Catholic Church, Rimbey on Wednesday, January 26, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. with the Reverend Father Peter Sharpe, Celebrant. Interment followed in the West Haven Cemetery, Rimbey.
