HAWKINGS
Marie Elizabeth (Davis) Hawkings of Rimbey, Alberta went into the presence of the Lord on Thursday, April 11, 2013 at the age of 92 years.
Marie was born on November 4, 1920 in Taber, Alberta to Alvah and Bernice Davis. She leaves to mourn her six children: Keith (Paulette) Hawkings of Langley, B.C.; Hazel (Larry) Breitkreutz of White Rock, B.C.; Harley (Carol)Hawkings of Red Deer; Dallas (Debbie) Hawkings of Ponoka; David (Martha) Hawkings of Rocky Mountain House; and Larry (Gaylayne) Hawkings of Westbank, B.C.; as well as eleven grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. She is also survived by her two siblings, Margaret Hawkings of Rimbey; and Wayne Davis of Olds; and her brother-in-law, Duane Walter of Des Moines, Iowa; in addition to many nieces, nephews, and cherished friends. Marie was predeceased by her parents, Alvah and Bernice Davis; her beloved husband, Edmund Hawkings in 1996; her sister, Vivian Walter; an infant sister, Isabelle Davis; and an infant brother, Leroy Davis.

A Public Funeral Service in Celebration of Marie's Life was held at the Rimbey Church of the Nazarene, Rimbey on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with the Reverend Henry Borzel officiating. Interment followed at 2:30 p.m. in the Alto Reste Cemetery, Red Deer. If friends desire, memorial tributes in Marie's Memory may be made directly to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Suite 202, 5913 - 50 Avenue, Red Deer, Alberta T4N 4C4; or to World Vision Canada, 1 World Drive, Mississauga, Ontario L5T 2Y4.
