Marie Liner

With sadness we announce that Marie Liner of Rimbey, Alberta passed away peacefully, with family by her side, at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre - Long Term Care on Friday, January 27, 2023, at the age of 96 years.
Marie was born the fourth of ten children to Adolph and Hilda Krossa in Lavesta on August 30, 1926. She married Harry Liner on March 21, 1945, and together they raised their family of three children Susan, Annette, and Gordon.
Marie is survived by her loving family: daughter Annette (James) Borthwick; and son Gordon (Linda) Liner; as well as eight cherished grandchildren Monica (Wayne) Hock, Brent Nielson, Darrel Borthwick, Jason (Jie) Borthwick, Bridget (Peter) Dry, Laurie (Kenwyn) Hickey, Jennifer (Adam) Liner, and Kevin (Britney) Liner; and fourteen great-grandchildren Kelsey, Ethan, Hinton, Nathan, Morgan, Jesse, Colton, Bronson, Cole, Hudson, Kade, Bennett, Greyson, and Danton. She is also survived by her brother Albert (Diane) Krossa; her sister Margaret Brunner; in addition to numerous nieces and nephews, and several close friends. Marie was predeceased by her husband Harry; daughter Susan; her parents Adolph and Hilda; brothers Henry, Paul, and Fred; and her sisters Martha, Alma, Ida, and Emma.
A public Funeral Service in Celebration of Marie's Life will be held at the Rimbey United Church, Rimbey on Monday, February 6, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Marco Ste-Marie officiating.Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the West Haven Cemetery, Rimbey.
