CHESNEY
Mr. Mark Albert Chesney of the Acme, Alberta area, formerly of Rimbey, Alberta, passed away on Thursday, March 4, 2010 at the age of 44 years. Mark will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his son, Luke Chesney of Rimbey; and his five daughters, Sara Chesney of Powell River, B.C.; Amanda Chesney of Elnora; and Ashley Chesney; Maranda Chesney; and Samantha Chesney, all of Rimbey; in addition to three cherished grandchildren. He will also be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his mother, Evelyn Chesney of Leduc; the mother of his children, Betty Chesney of Rimbey; four brothers, Matt (Cathy) Chesney of Innisfail; Wayne (Jennie) Chesney of Gull Lake; Bruce (Jacquie) Chesney of Chilliwack, B.C.; and Ward (Shawna) Chesney of Crestomere; and eight sisters, Marlene (Edward) Harty of Crestomere; Phyllis (Alex) Gaehring of Wetaskiwin; Shirley Gerbrandt of Portage la Prairie, Manitoba; Grace (Bob) Lanz of Etzikom, Alberta; Lois (Ken) Jeramco of Langley, B.C.; Dorothy (John) Sharp of Blairmore, Alberta; Valerie (Terry) McLellan of Raymond, Alberta; and Virginia (Dave) Reynolds of Innisfail; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Mark was predeceased by his father, Boyd in 2001; and his daughter, Mariah in 1998.
A Public Funeral Service in Celebration of Mark's Life was held at the Hoadley Community Hall, Hoadley on Thursday, March 11, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. with the Reverend Deborah Laing officiating. Interment followed in the Hoadley Cemetery, Hoadley. If friends desire, memorial tributes in Mark's Memory may be made directly to the charity of one's choice.
