Mrs. Mary Muir Duke (Fraser) passed away in the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre on Monday June 7, 2010 at the age of 100 years.
Born on February 22, 1910 on the family farm at Strasbourg, Saskatchewan, Mary was predeceased by her husband, John on October 4, 1999, her parents, four sisters and one brother.
Mary is survived by her loving and caring family; son, Bob (Rosamond) of Lacombe, daughter, Dorothy (Bill) Murray of Red Deer, son, Donald (Lillian) of Rimbey, ten grand- children, twenty-two great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
Mary was an active, energetic and interested member of both her church and community. She enjoyed her association with the Easter Star and the Red Hatters. She was always ready to meet and make new friends.
Funeral services will be held from the Rimbey United Church on Wednesday June 16, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend David Holmes officiating. Interment of Mary's cremated remains will take place in the Mount Auburn cemetery Rimbey, Alberta. If friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Rimbey United Church Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 7, Rimbey, Alberta T0C 2J0.
