SMITH
Mr. Matthew "Matt" Randolph Smith of Rimbey, Alberta passed away at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre, Rimbey on Friday, April 1, 2011, three days before his 90th birthday.
Matt worked and resided in Athabasca for many years before moving to Rimbey where he enjoyed his retirement. He loved to walk his big dog, Buddy and he also enjoyed playing bingo.
Matt will be lovingly remembered by his family and many friends.
Matt will be sadly missed by his two sons, John Smith of Penticton, B.C.; and Randy Smith of Rimbey; and his daughter, Debbie Carson of Barrhead. He will also be sadly missed by four grandsons, Jeremy (Bobbie), Mike (Michelle), Zach, and Greg; four great grandchildren, Makenna, Brooklyn, Phoenyx, and Falkon; in addition to his good friend, Bud Reynolds; as well as many other relatives and dear friends. Matt was predeceased by his beloved wife, Jean in 2002.
With respect for Matt's wishes, no formal funeral service will be held. Cremation took place at the Central Alberta Crematorium, Red Deer. Interment will take place at a later date.
